Wildcat Off-road Park, East Bernstadt, Kentucky

Wildcat Off-road Park is located in east-central Kentucky, Along Interstate 75, near the community of East Bernstadt and is one of the most interesting Off-road Parks I have ever been to.

The Park is incredibly rugged, and incredibly beautiful. With one of the center pieces of the park being large sandstone cliffs. You are able to drive right to the cliffs and like we did, park and enjoy the view! You can see this in the videos below…

The park is an absolute joy to go to in October, when we went, lots of color from the change of the seasons! I would highly recommend going during the fall, It’s cooler and the colors are great!

Wildcat Dome

This incredible spot is south-west of the Main entrance of Wildcat Off-road park and offers great views of Wood Creek Lake in south-western Kentucky! This stop along the trails did take quite a while to get to as it was on the far side of the park. Worth the effort!

The climb up to the overlook is challenging but completely do-able with these machines, Be aware, at the top as you corner to enter the parking area, there is a steep drop off with no guard-rail.
Also, there is no railing on the top, with Interstate 75 directly below where the picture is taken.

I did not expect the sights and the extreme ruggedness of this area of Kentucky. I had heard of this park before, Glad I went. Absolutely recommend this park! Be sure to read our full review

Campground…

There is a campground within the park, Only problem was the traffic through the campground. Incredible busy, not sure if this was also an entrance to to park or what the issue was, but, very busy through the campground.

Stayed in one of their cabins this time, Which was a trailer. Was nice having full kitchen and multiple rooms, Nothing to write home about though.

As you can see, Wildcat Off-road park is fantastic with lots of variety, From large flat play areas to huge elevation changes and incredible views of the Kentucky country-side and Wood Creek Lake, Which is on the west side of the park.
