After “suffering” with a half-ton truck for the past 4 years, I upgraded my truck…
I had purchased a brand new 2018 Ford F150 Diesel pickup back in 2018 and for the past 4 years fell in love with truck for it’s great fuel mileage and very comfortable ride and features!
I upgraded now because towing 6500lbs with the half-ton was not feasible for the places I wanted to go. When in the mountains of Tennessee and Wyoming, I found the truck highly under-powered and very uneasy climbing and descending out of the mountains. While it is do-able, I just could not deal with the stress of it all and needed something heavier and more powerful.
I ended up purchasing a 2019 Ram 2500 Diesel Bighorn Edition, Bighorn for my favorite place on the planet, The Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming!
So, looking forward to this camping season, should be much less stressful and much more enjoyable! Should be a great upgrade!

Test drive…
I took the set up for a test drive last week and all I have to say is: Wow! What a difference. Plenty of power to pull up hills here in Wisconsin at freeway speeds, something the half-ton would struggle at. Much more comfortable towing, more stable, wonderful purchase!
