This time we’re in Athelstane, WI on the Marinette County Trail System after being cooped up all winter it was a beautiful weekend in the area.
We camped out at the McClintock Campground, A Gorgeous Campground on the banks of the Peshtigo River in West-Central Marinette County.
Athelstane, WI…
This is a small town on the southern extent of our adventures in Marinette County. Great diner on Cty Hwy C, which is open to atvs and a fuel station, Everything you need!
Goodman, WI…
Goodman is a little bigger town in the area, Has several restaurants, Bars and fuel stations. You also have access to the Downtown area which has a couple retail shops. We stopped for lunch at the Stoney Ridge Inn on the north-west side of Goodman, North of Hwy 8. Great burgers and fantastic portions!
Dunbar, WI…
Dunbar also has fuel and a few restaurants. Smaller than goodman, Not many stores available.
The trails are fantastic in west-central Marinette County. I always look forward to going to this area! The Communities around Marinette County are so welcoming and accommodating to the atvers, it’s great to see!
Marinette County…
I have to say, Marinette County is so easy to get around. The amount of signage on the trails is staggering, but than again, so is the amount of trails in this area. You could spend weeks here and still be finding new things! To top it off, These trails connect to surrounding County trail systems and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, which, don’t get me started!
