This is a great stop along the trail from Hurley, WI to Saxon, WI, In Pence, WI. Here we have an old mine “Headframe” that began operations in 1904.
The site was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1997. This is the last Headframe still standing in Wisconsin.
The site is accessible via the atv / utv trails, Literally you can see it from the trail, I recommend taking the time to view this site, Very interesting to see!
