This is a Memorial for the airmen of a crashed B-47 bomber plane, The crash occurred in 1961. The site is located along the atv trails in Iron County, Near Schomberg County park. You can find this on maps.
This memorial shows the history of what happened that day, also has the actual cockpit canopy for display, among other items.
The site does also have a seating area to reflect on the Memorial or have a picnic.

Very nice facility, well maintained and peaceful. If you have time, it’s worth the time visit.
